Mumbai: Farah Khan has accepted the baton from Salman Khan to host a new series of Big Boss that will pit the five champions of Season 8 against five challengers from the past. The show titled Big Boss Halla Bol will have a grand finale on January 31, the report states.
She argues that except for Urvashi Dholakia and Gauahar Khan, many of the winners were too goody goody for her liking. “It was the #Rakhi Sawants, #Sambhavana Seths, #Dolly Bindras, #Pooja Mishras, #Mahek Chahals and #Rahul Mahajans who gave the show its masala. I’ve always wondered what it would be like to watch Dolly and Rakhi in the house together,” the report quoted Farah. Big Boss Halla Bol will be launched when the five winners of the 8th season of Color’s Big Boss will be announced on January 3, 2015. Bigg Boss 8 was being hosted by Salman Khan and the extended show called Bigg Boss Halla Bol will be hosted by Bollywood choreographer and film-maker, the ever-so-joyous Farah Khan.
Bigg Boss 8 has been engaging viewers for the past 15 weeks and Farah Khan is more than excited to be hosting its follow-up show. The show is said to be having participants engrossed in a scuffle of sorts as they will try to remain residents at the Bigg Boss house.
In a confirmatory statement, Farah Khan stated, “I have loved watching ‘Bigg Boss’ and enjoy everything about it. The ‘Bigg Boss Halla Bol’ series is unlike anything that regular viewers of the show could have ever perceived.” According to the report, Farah Khan is a perfect replacement for Salman Khan. One of the reasons for that is her outspoken and eloquent nature. She is gutsy enough to say whatever is on her mind. Owing to the bold and controversial format of the show, that is exactly the kind of host they need.
Farah Khan and Salman Khan share a good rapport with each other. The channel has played very smart to replace Salman Khan with Farah as they both will not create any issues in the long run. Replacing Salman with another Bollywood actor would have been a drastic change which audiences might have not accepted, but seeing Farah for a month would be somewhat acceptable to the audiences. With the assurance that they are going to see Salman as host of the show next season, they would accept Farah for the time being at least.
