#Car bomb #blasts in Eastern #Libya, more than 30 killedCairo: More than 30 people had been killed in a car bomb blast in Eastern Libya’s city of #Qubbah on Friday.

This region is facing pressures from militants including factions pledging loyalty to the Islamic State.

#Parliamentary #Speaker Aguila Saleh had confirmed the incident.

#Saleh told Al-Arabiya television the car bombs had targeted a petrol station and a security building.

Notify that Qubbah is Saleh’s hometown.

There was no immediate claim of responsibly for the bloodshed.

Meanwhile Libyan army spokesman, #MohammedHegazi, told the #AssociatedPress the attack bore the hallmarks of Islamist militants who have battled security forces in the area.

Some of the fighters in the region have vowed allegiance to the Islamic State.

Hegazi said the bomb-rigged vehicle exploded next to a busy gas station, which also is near a building used by local security forces.
