#Cricket #WorldCup2015: #England beats #Scotland by 119 runsChristchurch: England beat Scotland by 119 runs after it had given the target of 303 runs to Scotland which Scotland failed to achieve.

England Batsman Moeen Ali had smashed 128 runs and takes two wickets of Scotland.

Scotland had scored only 184 against England.

It is just that, with the exception of an excellent all-round performance from Moeen Ali, too few England players could be satisfied with their contribution.

For the Scots, sent on a leather hunt, it was hard day on the field. For the Scots Josh Davey made a name for himself bagging 4/68 off his 10 overs, Ian Wardlaw 1/ 60 off 10 overs, Alasdair Evans 1/46 off 10 overs were the other wicket- takers.

Scotland were never in the race for the massive 304 target. Kyle Coetzer opening the batting for Scotland batted brilliantly with a fine 71 off 84 balls. But the rest could not match him and crumbled against the disciplined English bowling attack.

Moeen Ali after shinning with the bat also shone with the ball later. Ali chipped in with two wickets for 47 runs in his quota of 10 overs and, along with pacers Steven Finn (3/26), James Anderson (2/30) and Chris Woakes (2/25) gave England something to cheer about.
