Modi's Govt, #ShiningIndiateam requested to all people don’t #believe in any #rumours about possible #quakeNew Delhi: Taking note of rumours being floated in various media platforms about earthquake, the Centre tonight appealed to people not to believe unreliable information saying only authorised persons of the government should be taken into cognisance. A Home Ministry spokesperson termed as “baseless and untruth” reports of predictions by some international organisations about possible earthquake.  No such prediction has been made by any foreign or domestic organisation. The reports of possible earthquake is completely baseless and untruth,” he said.

Asking people to ignore such rumours, the spokesperson said that statements of only authorised persons from the Ministries of Home, Defence, External Affairs, National Disaster Management Authority or India Meteorological Department should be taken into cognisance.

All natural phenomena are powered by the power of God. The moon looks normal. If we had studied the subject more, maybe we could have understood it better. This seems to be a rumour,” said Bir Raghav Das, a member of ISKON.

I got a forward message saying that the moon has turned upside-down. When I came and looked everything seemed normal. This seems to be a rumour and so I have not forwarded the message to my friends,” said Ravi Shankar, a resident.

The death toll has reached 3,218 and over 6,500 are injured,” said Rameshwor Dangal, who heads the Home Ministry`s national disaster management division. Officials say more than 3,300 people are now known to have died, including 3,218 in Nepal — making it the quake-prone Himalayan nation`s deadliest disaster in more than 80 years.

Shining India team also requested to all people please don’t believe in any rumours about that, people should ignore such messages circulating on social media.
