Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal, Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia, AAP legislators Rakhi Birla and Somnath Bharti and party leader Ashutosh appeared before Metropolitan Magistrate Akash Jain, who fixed the matter for further hearing on August 4.

On May 11, the magistrate asked them to positively appear before the court observing that the accused had also not appeared before the court on the last date of hearing.

The court meanwhile directed Delhi Police on Friday to supply the deficient copies and documents related to chargesheet of the accused.

However another party leader Sanjay Singh’s plea seeking exemption from personal appearance was allowed by the court.

Delhi Police have booked the five AAP leaders for allegedly violating orders prohibiting any gathering of five or more people during a demonstration outside the Rail Bhavan here.

The AAP leaders were demanding action against policemen who refused to raid an alleged drug and prostitution racket in south Delhi in January 2014.

All the accused are out on bail.
