Arvind Kejriwal has written a letter to PM Narendra Modi over the issue of transfer of bureaucrats in Delhi.

In the letter, Kejriwal has said that the Centre is directly ruling Delhi through lieutenant-governor Najeeb Jung. 

In his letter, Kejriwal had requested PM Modi, “Allow the Delhi government to work independently under constitutional scheme.”

Earlier in the day, Deputy CM Manish Sisodia met senior bureaucrats at Delhi Secretariat to discuss flow of work.

A power tussle between chief minister Arvind Kejriwal and lieutenant-governor Najeeb Jung has led to confusion among state government officials.

Minister Gopal Rai, acting chief secretary Shakuntala Gamlin and all departments’ secretaries and officers were present in the meeting.

Notify that both CM Kejriwal and Najeeb Jung had met with President Pranab Mukherjee on Tuesday to brief him about the tussle over powers of LG and CM.

Union home minister Rajnath Singh had been scheduled to meet President Pranab Mukherjee by today.
