#Earthquake in #Eastern #Japan by 5.6 #magnitudes, no #tsunami warningTokyo: An earthquake with a preliminary magnitude of 5.6 had shook Eastern part of Japan including Tokyo on Monday. The Meteorological Agency of Japan had confirmed the earthquake but no warning of tsunami had been issued.

The main centre of quake was in Ibaraki prefecture just northeast of the Japanese capital, shook buildings in Tokyo and briefly halted train lines, but there were no immediate reports of damage or injuries.

Notify that Japan – one of the world’s most seismically active nations – was hit with a massive earthquake and tsunami on March 11, 2011 that left nearly 20,000 people dead.
