New Delhi: After setting a new record of the highest weekend opener of the year so far, the sequel to ‘ABCD- Any Body Can Dance’ – ‘ABCD 2’ has grossed Rs 100 crore worldwide in just one week.
The Varun Dhawan, Shraddha Kapoor starrer has been winning hearts across oceans and earned a whopping Rs 46 crore in the first weekend itself. The Remo D’Souza film has surpassed all expectations and entered the Rs 100 crore club with a thunderous bang.
Trade analyst Taran Adarsh confirmed the film’s collection which has been breaking records ever since its release, on his Twitter handle. He posted, “#ABCD2 crosses 100 *gross* in less than 1 week WORLDWIDE… India gross 92.85 cr + Overseas gross 1.8 mn [11.45 cr]. SUPERB!”(sic.).
“#ABCD2 records HIGHEST *Week 1* biz of 2015 [so far], overtaking *Week 1* biz of #TanuWedsManuReturns [₹ 70.02 cr]. India biz. Hindi films (sic.)”.The lead couple along with their dance troupe has impressed all and sundry with their jaw-dropping dance moves.
