New Delhi: Activists of Bharatiya Janata Party on Thursday stage a massive protest and slammed senior leader of Aam Aadmi Party Somnath Bharti.Notify that Somnath Bharti had been accused of domestic violence by his wife.
BJP activists had stages protest outside his house.
Women activists of BJP had also protested outside Chief Minister of Delhi Arvind Kejriwal and showed black flags to Somnath Bharti.
Delhi Commission for Women (DCW) chairperson Barkha Singh had also interfere in the matter and urged CM Kejriwal to take a stance in the issue.
She said, “Arvind Kejriwal ji should come forth, take a stance in this matter and help solve this.”
Somnath Bharti had earlier refuted allegations of domestic violence levelled by his wife, Lipika Mitra, accusing her of demanding the eviction of his mother from their house.
A notice had been also served to Somnath Bharti earlier on Wednesday after the allegations surfaced against him.
Notify that wife of Somnath Bharti had alleged that she has been facing violence at his hands since 2010 and added that she wants a separation in order to live with her children ‘with dignity’.
