#CBSE announce re-test of #AIPMT 2015-16 on #July 25New Delhi: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) on Tuesday announced to re-conduct the All India Pre-Medical Test (AIPMT) 2015-16 on July 25.

Notify that Supreme Court had cancelled the AIPMT on June 15, stating the examination conducted on May 3 has become a “suspect” after it was “vitiated to the core by use of deceitful means and measures to benefit” some candidates.

SC had directed the re-test, it held that “if such an examination is saved, merit would be a casualty generating a sense of frustration in the genuine students, with aversion to the concept of examination.”

CBSE also said that no fresh applications would be accepted for the examination. It will be a retest only in respect of the candidates who had applied within the stipulated time — from December 1, 2014 to January 31, 2015 – paying the requisite fee.

For more information on the exam, students can log on to www.aipmt.nic.in.

On June 15, the court had asked the CBSE to complete the process of examination and declaration of result within four weeks.

However, a bench led by Justice R K Agrawal allowed the CBSE’s plea to grant it more time to conduct the re-test.
