The General Administration Department of Delhi Government has furnished the copies of electricity bill of Kejriwal’s Civil Lines residence running into Rs 91,000. The RTI query was filed by Vivek Garg, an advocate and RTI activist. Delhi BJP, however, claimed that the bill was over Rs 1 lakh and said that it would also seek power bill details of all AAP ministers.

The Chief Minister’s residence has two electricity metres. The latest bills for the two metres are Rs 55,000 and Rs 48,000 (total Rs 1,03,000),” claimed Delhi BJP spokesperson Praveen Kapoor said. According to a senior official, the government will verify the bill before speaking on the matter.

When Kejriwal came back from treatment he said he wont use ACs in his house, but he has 30-32 Acs, its a cruel joke,” Garg, who is associated with BJP’s RTI cell, said.

“Ek taraf janta ko bijli nahi mil rahi hai aur dusri taraf Kejriwal ji janta ke paise se bijli enjoy kar rahe hain (On one hand the public has not getting electricity and on the other hand Kejriwal is enjoying electricity at the expense of the the common man,” he added.

BJP spokesperson GVL Narsimha Rao said, “His preaching is only for other politicians and not himself. AAP again getting exposed.
