New Delhi: Aam Aadmi Party led Delhi Government of Arvind Kejriwal on Wednesday appoint Kapil Mishra as new Law Minister of Delhi.
Mishra is an AAP MLA representing Karawal Nagar, a constituency in northeast Delhi. He is also the vice chairman of the Delhi Jal Board, the municipal body that supplies piped water in the city.
The decision comes a day after the arrest and subsequent resignation of Jitender Singh Tomar as the law minister in connection with an alleged fake degree case.
Mishra will also be taking additional charge of the tourism portfolio.
