Islamabad: The Army of Pakistan on Saturday claimed to kill at least 20 militants in airstrikes in North Waziristan tribal region near Afghan Border of Pakistan.
The fighter jets targeted militants in Datta Khel area of the district.
In a brief statement, Army said, “20 terrorists were killed in aerial strikes” in the remote areas near Pak-Afghan border.”
The toll could not be verified through independent sources.
Pakistan launched operation in North Waziristan last June and killed about 2,000 rebels.
