Re-conduct #AIPMT exam and declare #results by #August 17: #SC says #CBSENew Delhi: The Supreme Court today extended time for conducting All India Pre Medical and Dental Test (AIPMT) for medical and dental courses for the year 2015-16 and directed the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) to declare results by August 17.

A vacation bench of Justice RK Agrawal and Justice Abhay Manohar Sapre had on Thursday agreed to hear the matter after Solicitor General Ranjit Kumar told the court it was not possible for the board to re-conduct the exam within the time given by the court.

While ordering the re-conduct of the examination in four weeks, the court had noted that on previous occasions, “such type of examination had been held anew within a period of one month”.

While directing the re-conduct of the test, it had observed that the examination held on May 3 was rendered “futile by a handful of elements seeking to reap undue financial gain by subjecting the process to their evil manoeuvres” and the reconduct was the “price the stakeholders would have to suffer in order to maintain the impeccable and irrefutable sanctity and credibility of a process of examination, to assess the innate worth and capability of the participating candidates”.
