Bhopal: A veterinary student related to the Vyapam scam was reportedly found dead under mysterious circumstances in Sheopur district of Madhya Pradesh. Sagar was a suspect and was pursuing a post-graduation course in animal husbandry from Mhow Veterinary College.
At least 25 accused and witnesses, including the son of Madhya Pradesh Governor Ram Naresh Yadav, Shailesh, have died the high-profile Madhya Pradesh Professional Examination Board (MPPEB) scam, also known as Vyapam scam.
A Madhya Pradesh High Court-appointed Special Investigation Team (SIT) is supervising the probe by the state’s Special Task Force (STF) into the scam, in which the role of some senior state government officials and politicians has come under the scanner.
The Vyapam scam involved the Madhya Pradesh Professional Examination Board (MPPEB), which holds exams for positions like medical officers, constables, teachers and auditors for government departments. Candidates allegedly bribed government officials to ensure that they made it to the list of those who cleared the test.
