Jaipur: Vehicle of veteran Bollywood actress and MP of Bharatiya Janata Party from Mathura had met with a road accident at Dausa of Rajasthan on Thursday evening in which she had been injured. One girl child was killed and other four also injured in the road accident.
The accident took place when Hema Malini’s Mercedes car collided with a Maruti Suzuki Alto.
The girl who died was travelling with her family and was just four years old. Her five-year-old brother is critical.
Hema Malini had met with the accident and suffered a cut above her right eye when she was on her way to Jaipur. The actress and others who got injured have been admitted to Fortis hospital in Jaipur.
Rajasthan Police had meanwhile arrested the driver, Mahesh Thakur of Hema Malini under sections 304, 37 and 338. Mahesh had claimed himself innocent. He said that accident occurred due to mistake of driver of Alto car. He said that the driver of car had turned car without indicating.
