 Key accused Rajendra Kasawa, 2 brother arrested in Maharashtra in Jhabua blast caseIndore: Four days after the explosion in Petlawad town in Madhya Pradesh’s Jhabua district that left 89 people dead and nearly 100 wounded, the prime accused Rajendra Kaswa was on Wednesday arrested in Maharashtra by Madhya Pradesh police.

After detaining his family members from Manpur near Indore on Tuesday night, police have arrested the prime accused of an explosion in Petlawad town in Madhya Pradesh’s Jhabua district, a report said. According to news report, Rajendra Kasawa was nabbed in Maharashtra.

Three days after the explosion in Jhabua district that left 89 people dead and nearly 100 wounded, police had on Tuesday detained two brothers of Kasawa – Narendra and Phoolchand. Kasawa`s wife, son and daughter were released yesterday by the police after being interrogated.

Jhabua Superintendent of Police, GG Pandey, however, refused to give any further information about the development stating that the matter was under investigation. It was after their arrest that police got clues about Kasawa, who had been absconding since the explosion on Saturday.

Meanwhile, a top official associated with the probe said that Kasawa’s mobile phone was functioning till Saturday afternoon (even after the explosion) and his family members had been contacted using that phone. Notably, Kasawa was booked by police under sections of Explosives Act and IPC Section 304.
