Indrani maintained that her health condition deteriorated because of her mother ‘s death. Former media executive Indrani had been under treatment since last Friday after falling unconscious.

Following an improvement in her condition, she was discharged and shifted back to the Byculla jail by the police , where she will be in judicial custody till October 19. Newly-appointed IG (Prisons) Bipin Kumar Singh is heading the probe into the circumstances under which Indrani collapsed in Byculla Women’s Prison, where she is lodged under judicial custody since last month, and rushed to state-run medical facility five days ago.

Sheena was murdered on April 24, 2012, allegedly by Indrani, Khanna and Rai who disposed of her partly burnt body in the forests in Raigad district. The accused were arrested from Mumbai and Kolkata in September.
