Idea Cellular launches 4G LTE in MP, Chhattisgarh, Punjab and Haryana#Bhopal /#Raipur :  Idea Cellular on Thursday launched high-speed 4G LTE services in three new telecom service areas of Madhya Pradesh & Chhattisgarh, Punjab and Haryana on Thursday.
The company now offers 4G services across 7 telecom service areas including Andhra Pradesh & Telangana, Karnataka, Kerala and Tamil Nadu & Chennai. It is scheduled to provide 4G across 183 towns by January-end. The company will roll out 4G services in three more circles by March, further touching a total of 10 circles by the end of June this year.

Announcing the expansion of 4G services Ambrish Jain, deputy managing director, Idea Cellular said, “Since last week of December 2015, Idea has rapidly rolled out its high-speed 4G LTE network to cover 7 major markets in India.”

According to a statement released by the company, Idea has 2.7 million 4G devices, nearly 4% of its subscriber base in these 7 telecom service areas, registered on its network.

In comparison, on an all India basis, Idea has nearly 49.5 million customers owning 3G devices and over 6 million customers with 4G devices.
