#Delhi : #RajyaSabha | #AIADMK members too walked into the Well to press for action against for mer finance minister P Chidambaram’s son Karti in the Aircel-Maxis deal. This was their second day of protest on the issue.
The slogan shouting led to two adjournments in the first hour of business. Deputy chairman PJ Kurien tried to pacify the members but to no avail. MoS for parliamentary affairs MA Naqvi said the government was ready for a discussion on any issue.
“We are ready for discussion on the issue of Chidambaram’s known and unknown assets. The minister will also give reply. Our opinion is that action should be taken on those found guilty,” Naqvi said. His remarks that AIADMK and “a few members from Congress” want a discussion led to more protests from the Congress leaders.
