The Kannada film industry planning to make Sequel in #Sandalwood#Bengaluru : The Kannada film industry is into sequels and Sainika-II is the first on the list. Politician-turned-actor C.P. Yogeshwar, who made Sainika in 2002, is helming the sequel as well. Sainika dealt with the life of a soldier in the Kargil war starred Sakshi Shivanand, Yogeshwar and Ashish Vidyarthi. The film created history as it was shot in Leh.

Work on a sequel of Ugram, which was made in 2014, is on. Ugram provided a fresh lease of life to the actors including Srimurali, Haripriya and Tilak.

The film, which dealt with friendship, underworld and love succeeded in box office too. Now director Prashanth Neel is working on the sequel and said to be building on the unfinished war between the two main characters. The film is expected to hit the screens in 2017.

Srinivasa Raju refuses to call Dandupalya-2 a sequel, rather he calls it a parallel story, which goes back to 1995 and captures the criminal activities of the eponymous gang. Raju’s Dandupalya released in 2012, based on the brutal crimes committed by notorious Dandupalya gang with Pooja Gandhi, Makarand Deshpande, P. Ravishankar in the lead shocked the public with its graphic posters.

Duniya Suri is busy with Part* Ginimari Case, a sequel to Kendasampige, which found favour with the critics as well as viewers. The film about young lovers who are framed for a crime was appreciated for its technical aspects and performances. Suri is also making two more parts to Kendasampige, Kaage Bangara and Black Magic.

Following the success of the murder mystery Shivalinga, starring Shivarajkumar, director P. Vasu is planning to make a sequel. According to the producers, the sequel takes off from where Shivalinga ended.

Ramanarayanan, who made Kalpana, a remake of the Tamil horror film Kanchana, is helming Kalpana 2, which is a remake of Kanchana 2. Considering the success Kanchana 2 met with, Ramanarayanan is going for a bigger canvas this time around with Priya Mani, Upendra and Avantika Shetty playing important parts. according to TH reports,
