According to the complaint by the chief security officer, “Bharti provoked the mob to damage the fence of the hospital with JCB at Gautam Nagar Nallah road in order to give access to unauthorised persons inside AIIMS property and also misbehaved with security personnel”, a senior police officer said earlier. The complaint was submitted on September 9.

The medical examination of six security personnel was done and a case under IPC sections 147 (punishment for rioting), 148 (rioting, armed with deadly weapon), 186 (obstructing public servant in discharge of his public functions), 353 (assault or use of criminal force to deter a public servant from discharge of his duty) and 3/4 Prevention of Damage to Public Property Act was registered with the Hauz Khas police station.

Bharti had rejected all the allegations earlier. “AIIMS is lying. They have been denying legitimate access to Gautam Nagar residents. AIIMS even refused to PWD meetings,” he had tweeted earlier.
