CM Mehbooba Mufti meets Rajnath Singh, discusses J&K's security situation, Amarnath terror attackNew Delhi: Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti on Saturday met Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh at his New Delhi’s residence.

Both the leaders are expected to have discussed the ongoing chaos going on in the Valley. Kashmir has been witnessing a state of tension and violence since past few months.

The two leaders likely discussed the security situation in the conflict-ridden state.

“I thank Home Minister Rajnath Singh and the country for showing unity on the ongoing unrest in Kashmir Valley. We cannot win the fight in Kashmir unless getting complete support from all political parties,” she told media persons after attending the meet.

“Outside forces are involved behind rising violence in Kashmir. The people who are behind the violence in Kashmir wanted to communalise us across the country. Unfortunately, now even China has intervened in the Kashmir matter. I am thankful to our countrymen for showing uniform stand on the Kashmir issue,” she added further.

On Monday, terrorists launched an attack on a bus carrying over 60 pilgrims on their way to the Amarnath cave shrine, in the Anantnag district. At least seven pilgrims were killed in the firing by the terrorists.

The incident occurred between Baltal and Mir Bazar.

Reportedly, the bus was neither a part of a convoy nor was registered with the shrine board.

On July 12, three Hizbul Mujahideen terrorists were killed by security forces near Budgam district in Jammu and Kashmir.
