Addressing a rally in Sreerampur, PM Modi slammed Mamata Banerjee and warned her of a mass revolt within the TMC.
“Didi, even your MLAs will desert you when the BJP wins the polls. Your 40 MLAs are in contact with us,” PM Modi said.
The PM further said that the TMC chief wants police to act as her “private security” agency in West Bengal.
He also accused the state’s ruling party of rigging elections, claiming its “goons” were preventing voters from exercising their franchise.

“TMC goons are preventing people from casting votes and attacking BJP workers. They are not letting BJP leaders campaign,” PM Modi said during the rally in West Bengal.

“Earlier only Modi was abused, now even EVMs are being abused. The opposition is doing so as it faces imminent defeat,” he said.
Responding to PM’s remarks, TMC leader Derek O’Brien accused him of of “horse trading” and said they will file a complaint with the Election Commission.
Slamming the PM, the TMC leader said that nobody will go with the BJP and that the PM’s “expiry date” is near.

Earlier, clashes erupted at several polling booths in West Bengal, leaving rival party supporters injured and a BJP leader’s car vandalised.
Polling is underway in eight seats of West Bengal in the 4th phase of Lok Sabha elections.
