Mumbai: Bollywood star Sanjay Dutt had been granted furlough of 14 days from Yerwada jail. Sanjay Dutt had been sentenced to jail in case related to 1993 serial blasts in Mumbai.
Reports claimed that Sanjay Dutt will be released after the formalities are complete.
Notify that Dutt had filed an application seeking a 14-day furlough, which was put before the deputy inspector general of police (prisons), who is the sanctioning authority for leave.
In his report, a prison official quoted saying, “Around two months ago, the actor had applied for furlough. We have sent the application with the required recommendations to the office of the DIG (prisons). Dutt had taken furlough around a year ago and is eligible for the same this year too.”
Notify that Sanjay Dutt is in jail to serve his remaining 42 months after court found his involvement in Mumbai serial blast case of 1993. Dutt had been last witness in recent release film of Raj Kumar Hirani’s ‘PK’ in which Mr. Perfectionist Aamir Khan was in lead and Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma work opposite him and cameo with Sushant Singh Rajput.
