New Delhi: The Supreme Court had to hear the petition of Governor of Uttarakhand Aziz Qureshi in which had challenged the decision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday of pushing him to quit the Constitutional post.
Chief Justice of India RM Lodha will hear the case as the petition was filed on Wednesday.
In his petition, Aziz has contended that no one other than the President can ask him to quit. He also cited apex court ruling that, a Governor is not an employee of the central government.
Notify that several Governors had resigned after NDA had come in power in country.
