Several Congress leaders found missing from 125th birth anniversary of NehruNew Delhi: In the International event of 125th birth anniversary of former Prime Minister of India Jawahar Lal Nehru, several senior leaders of Congress had ignored and distant themselves from the event. This International event had been inaugurated in Talkatora Stadium of Delhi.

Several senior leaders were missing on the opening day of event on Monday which raises question over the unity of Congress leaders.

The most prominent leader of Congress and former Defence Minister AK Antony, Former Finance Minister P Chidambaram, Former Home Minister Sushilkumar Shinde, Former Rural Development Minister Jayram Ramesh, and Former Road and Transport Minister Kamalnath were missing from the event and seems they distant themselves from the event.

Meanwhile Congress had tried justifying the absence of these leaders. Party said that Jayram Ramesh is out of India while AK Antony had missed the event due to ill health. Party remains silent on other leaders.

Meanwhile former Minister of Commerce and Industry Anand Sharma had actively registered its presence in event.

Even several senior leaders had been found sleeping during the event. Former Governor of Kerala and Former CM of Delhi Sheila Dikshit, National treasurer of Congress Moti lal Vohra, CM of Himachal Pradesh Virbhadra Singh, Former Minister of State for Transport Harun Yousuf, Former Rural Development Minister Dr. C.P. Joshi, NCP leader D.P. Tripathi, General Secretary of JD-U KC Tyagi and other people of delegations had been found sleeping during the event.

Meanwhile Congress chair person Sonia Gandhi on Monday said that Vice President of Congress Rahul Gandhi will address the event on Tuesday after which event will close.

Notify that after the major defeat of Congress during General elections of 2014 and assembly election of Maharashtra and Haryana, Congress is struggling to stand up and united to face any election.

Congress leaders, after the defeat of party, are giving controversial statements rather than focusing on revamp of Congress.
