Mumbai: There’s little chance that people could love Bollywood (and for a while, Hollywood) heartthrob, Deepika Padukone any more than they already do. She cemented a place in our hearts since the moment we saw her in Om Shanti Om, and our love has only grown stronger since. In Om Shanti Om, Deepika effortlessly looked the part of a 1970s film heroine, and in her most recent advertisement, she once again proved that she can look the part, no matter what time period.
Teaming up with her stylist, Shaleena Nathani, Deepika starred in a new Asian Paints ad, which starts with a train scene from the 1920s. Wearing a typically 1920s cloche hat with a tweed jacket and skirt, replete with a fur wrap, gloves and lightly wavy hair, the actress totally looked the part.
Deepika’s 20s look was customised by designer, Shehla Khan, and she looked really stunning. But not only that, her other looks in the ad too were customised, by none other than designers, Falguni and Shane Peacock and Swapnil Shinde – An embellished blue dress and a strappy red gown respectively. We can’t get over how good Deepika looked and how well-styled the ad is.
Doesn’t she look amazing? Especially in the black and white picture, We’re really feeling the 1920s vibe. This once again proves the versatility of the actress, and we can’t wait to see her in her next period project, Padmavati.
