Opposition demands govt to end discussion with Pakistan

New-Delhi, 15th March: The opposition, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Friday banged the government for continuing to be a soft state despite repeated provocations from Pakistan and said that the Prime Minister shouldn’t even try to improve ties with the neighboring country.

BJP leader Arun Jaitly on Friday said in Rajya Sabha that normalization of ties with Pakistan is not possible after their parliament resolution on Parliament attack convict Afzal Guru.

Arun Jaitley said: “This clearly now shows Pakistan’s intentions.” “Pakistan has crossed all limits. All dialogues with them should be stopped,” he also said.

Pakistan parliament on Thursday passed a resolution condemning the hanging of Afzal Guru and demanded that the body be handed over to the family.

The resolution also expressed “concern” over the situation the execution had created in Jammu and Kashmir and said Kashmiri’s was “not alone in this movement as the whole of Pakistan was with them”.

The National Assembly passed the resolution moved by Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman, who heads a special parliamentary panel on Kashmir.
