New Delhi, 18th April: A 15-year-old minor girl of class X was allegedly gang-raped by her three neighbours, including her cousin, after she was kidnapped while on her way to school, police said.
A case was registered after the girl’s family approached the police; one of the accused has been arrested.
The class X student was kidnapped in a car allegedly by the trio from Ashok Nagar in East Delhi when she was on way to school yesterday morning and taken to Sarojini Nagar in South Delhi.
She was raped allegedly by the trio in Sarojini Nagar. Later they pushed her out of the car, and warned her not to report the crime.
The girl, in her statement, later told the police that one of the accused was standing outside the car when the other two sexually assaulted her.
“A case regarding the incident has been registered and hunt is on to nab the accused,” a police officer said adding that a man has been detained in connection with the case.
The medical examination of the victim has confirmed rape.
