Lucknow,May 17: Railways has suggested passenger to not buy tickets agents form 8 am to 12 noon. According to Railways, IRCTC agents are not being allowed to book ticket through e-ticketing from 8 to 12 pm from website. The slot of 8 to 12 PM is reserved for ordinary passengers to book their tickets. If a passenger get cought while travelling on a ticket booked by agent in this time slot, will have to face problem too. Railways had suggested passengers to avoid such agents who charge more than you take in lieu of tickets. Their is a list of authorized agents on IRCTC website. Passengers have been advised to book their tickets from these authorised agents. Passengers have been also asked to ensure that their mobile numbers are correctly entered in reservation slip. The details of rental and service charge will be recover through an SMS on their mobile phone by which passengers can avoid any type of cheat with them about lieu of ticket. Railways also suggested passenger to take the reciept of booking & cancellation of ticket. The agent who had booked your ticket, will cancel your ticket without any extra charge. At festive season, these agent chrge extra money for reservation for some passengers. To avoid such type of cheat, railways had announced some surcharge to agents. These surcharges are 40 rs. for AC first class, second and third and 20 rs. for sleeper class.
