Vodafone tie up with Twitter, free access for 3 months

New Delhi: Vodafone had given a surprise to twitter users. Vodafone had made a partnership with Twitter on Monday. Vodafone has offered its subscribers a free access to access free to the social networking website for three months. This move is meant to drive mobile internet adoption in the country. Vodafone subscribers will now access Twitter without incurring data charges.

After the end of fight of cheap call rates of service providers, mobile service companies are now focusing on minimum rates of 3G. Few days before Reliance communications had lower down its price on 3G. Many operators, including Airtel, Vodafone and have already slashed usage charges to get more subscribers to consume data.

Meanwhile Vodafone had launched its ‘Be Smart’ mobile internet initiative last week, under which it will reach out to customers talking about popular mobile applications like videos and music, navigation, social networking, online gaming and live stock market updates.
