Kejriwal agrees to furnish personal bond to get bail in defamation caseNew Delhi: Aam Aadmi Party leader Arvind Kejriwal on today accepted Delhi High Court’s suggestion to furnish personal bond to get bail in a defamation case field by BJP leader Nitin Gadkari

Earlier, the HC while hearing Kejriwal’s plea asked the former Delhi CM not to make it as an issue of “prestige” and opined that he should first seek bail.

A division bench of Justice Kailash Gambhir and Justice Sunita Gupta suggested the AAP leader to furnish a personal bond and seek his release from jail.  Kejriwal may now move out of Tihar Jail by today evening or tomorrow morning.

Kejriwal is in judicial custody till June 6 after he refused to furnish a personal bond in a defamation case filed by Bharatiya Janata Party leader Nitin Gadkari.
