Gwalior Additional Judge quits after accuses of sexual harassment by HC Judge Gwalior: Additional Sessions Judge of Gwalior had alleges the Judge of Madhya Pradesh High Court judge of sexual harassment and quit. The victim of harassment had written letter to the Chief Justice of India, President and Union Law Minister and complaint about incident.

According to reports, the administrative judge asked her to “perform dance on an item song” at a function at his home and influenced her transfer to a remote location despite her requests.

The judge has alleged the administrative judge told her “he missed the opportunity of viewing a sexy and beautiful figure dancing on the floor and that he is desperate to see the same” a day after his “request”.

The judge wrote in her complaint, “If this is how a mother, sister and wife can be treated, who is herself no less than a judicial officer duty-bound to protect society and law, what constitutional goals are we serving?”

She resigned on July 15 and wrote to the CJI and others on August 1.

It had been assured for action by CJI once he receives the complaint.

The lady judge is the head of the Vishakha committee against sexual harassment at the court.

She alleged that the judge mocked her and threatened to “spoil my career completely and make sure that I face ruinous prospects all my life”.
