New Delhi: Home Minister Rajnath Singh had asked about “love jihad” on Friday and said that he does not know anything about it.
While talking with media in New Delhi on Friday, Singh ask, “Love jihad. What is that? I need to understand its definition.”
Notify that the term “Love jihad” first used by Hindu groups in south India which refers to the alleged phenomenon of forced or deceitful conversion of Hindu women to Islam by Muslim men.
Rajnath’s curious evasion of the issue came a day after his party’s firebrand leader Yogi Adityanath was booked for his alleged hate speeches invoking love jihad in Uttar Pradesh.
