Test for all parties in bypolls in 3 Lok Sabha, 33 assembly seats on SaturdayNew Delhi: Bypolls on three Lok Sabha seats and 33 Assemblies are going on Saturday with a testr for all parties to know the growing interest of voters to which party.

The resignations of Prime Minister Narendra Modi from Vadodara, Mulayam Singh Yadav from Mainpuri and K Chandrashekhararao from Medak Lok Sabha seats have necessitated the bypolls.

33 assembly seats are also going to bypolls across Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Assam, Gujarat, Tripura, West Bengal, Andhra Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Sikkim beyond three high-profile Lok Sabha seats.

11 assembly seats are going to bypolls in Uttar Pradesh. Out of 11 seats, 10 seats were held by the BJP, which literally swept the Lok Sabha polls.  These 11 seats are Saharanpur Nagar, Bijnor, Thakurdwara, Noida, Nighasan, Lucknow East, Hamirpur, Charkari, Sirathu, Balha & Rohaniya.

In Rajasthan, four assembly seats are going to polls. These seats are Surajgarh, Weir, Nasirabad & Kota South.

In Modi’s home state of Gujarat 9 assembly seats are going to bypolls with Vadodara Lok Sabha seats. These assembly seats are Deesa, Maninagar, Tankara, Khambalia, Mangrol, Talaja, Anand, Matar & Limkheda.

Three seats are going to bypolls in Assam. Two seats are going to bypolls in West Bengal. These seats are Basirath Dakshin & Chowrangee.

In Andhra Pradesh bypoll is on Nandigama. In Chhattisgarh, byelection is Antagarh seat.

On Manu seat of Tripura, there is bypoll.  In Sikkim, Rangang – Yangang is the seat where bypoll took place.

The votes will be counted on September 16.
