New Delhi: PM Narendra Modi today extended birthday wishes to his predecessor Dr Manmohan Singh. On micro blogging website Twitter, the PM said: “Best wishes & warm greetings to Dr. Manmohan Singh ji on his birthday. May he be blessed with a long life & good health.
Dr Manmohan Singh was born on September 26, 1932 in Gah village of Jhelum district in what is now Pakistan’s Punjab province. Manmohan Singh served as the Indian prime minister from 2004 to 2014.
Modi is scheduled to arrive in New York today on his maiden US visit as prime minister where he will address the UN General Assembly and meet President Barack Obama in Washington
