New Delhi: Justice Subhro Kamal Mukherjee has been appointed the Chief Justice of Karnataka High Court. He will take over from Justice Dhirendra Hiralal Waghela, who has been posted as Chief Justice of the Orissa High Court.
In exercise of the powers conferred by article 223 of the Constitution of India, the President is pleased to appoint Shri Justice Subhro Kamal Mukherjee, senior-most Judge of the Karnataka High Court, to perform the duties of the office of the Chief Justice of that High Court with effect from the date Shri Justice Dhirendra Hiralal Waghela relinquishes charge of the office of the Chief Justice of Karnataka High Court consequent upon his transfer as the Chief Justice of the Orissa High Court vide Notification No.K-11017/06/2015-US.II dated 11th April, 2015.
