 Monsoon Session LIVE: Punjab terror attack has raised question on Pak's intention, says Anand SharmaNew Delhi: The stage is set for showdown between the government and opposition on the fifth day of Monsoon Session of the Parliament on Monday after the latter’s demanding the resignation of tainted ministers including External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj and Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje over Lalitgate row.

Former union cabinet minister and Deputy Leader of Opposition in Rajya Sabha, Anand Sharma, condemned the loss of lives in the Gurdaspur’s terror attack incident and said that it has raised question on the intention of Pakistan. He added that the incidences of raising Pakistani flags on Indian soil will not be tolerated and that no strict action regarding the incident has been taken, reported.

After the Lok Sabha session resumed at noon, Speaker Sumitra Mahajan asked members raising posters to put them down as it is against the rules. Security has been strengthened at the Parliament after Gurdaspur terror attack.

Lok Sabha has been adjourned till noon even as Opposition continue with their protest against tainted ministers during Question Hour. In the wake of terror attack in Punjab’s Gurdaspur district, Bharatiya Janata Party leader Rajiv Pratap Rudy said that government will make a statement on the incident in the Parliament. Following uproar in the House, Rajya Sabha has been adjourned for the day. The Monsoon Session of Parliament has started with Trinamool Congress MPs staging protest against Land Bill.
