Public opinion prevailed with GST: Information & Broadcasting Minister Venkaiah Naidu Delhi: Information & Broadcasting Minister Venkaiah Naidu addressed students of Indian School of Business, Hyderabad today.

Highlighting govt programmes, he said, “PM cannot be expected to speak on each & every other thing.”

Saying that integrity of country is of utmost significance, he said that even PoK will be part of India one day or the other. He said, “Some section of intellectuals champion the cause of offenders like Burhan Wani, Afzal Guru. Right to expression has certain limitations.”

“Dynasty in public life is nasty but for some people it is tasty.”

On GST, “Opposition had its say, Govt its way & ultimately public opinion prevailed. Passage of GST a pointer to a new political culture. Govt is willing to walk the extra mile.”

“Govt has no inhibition allowing private investment in business & industry.”

Mr. Naidu spoke about PM Modi’s recent visit to Telangana. “There was nothing political about it. Some read it as a step towards TRS-BJP alliance as TRS had taken VRS from Congress.”

“Modi is for cooperative federalism, he wants Centre-State to function as Team India,” he added.
