A couple of days after Sonu challenged the head of a religious group for issuing a ‘fatwa’ against him by going bald, Hooda believes that the singer spoke against the use of loudspeakers and not any religion.

Sonu voluntarily tonsured his head in response to Syed Sha Atef Ali Al Quaderi, vice president of West Bengal Minority United Council, who had issued a fatwa against the singer.

“If anyone can shave his hair, put a garland of old torn shoes around his neck and tour him around the country I personally announce an award of Rs 10 lakh for that person,” DNA quoted Syed Sha Atef Ali Al Quaderi as saying.

Nigam’s tweets about the use of loudspeakers at places of worship triggered a massive controversy earlier this week. The film industry still stands divided on this issue. The singer received severe backlash from many twitter users and also garnered support from a number of people.

He had tweeted: “God bless everyone. I’m not a Muslim and I have to be woken up by the Azaan in the morning. When will this forced religiousness end in India. And by the way Mohammed did not have electricity when he made Islam.. Why do I have to have this cacophony after Edison? I don’t believe in any temple or gurudwara using electricity To wake up people who don’t follow the religion . Why then..? Honest? True?
