2 Indian jawans were killed along the LoC in Poonch district of Jammu & Kashmir, after Pakistan violated the ceasefireJammu: Two Indian jawans were killed along the LoC in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir, Monday, after Pakistan violated the ceasefire, once again.

One junior commissioned officer of the Indian Army and one BSF constable were killed when Pakistan fired rockets at a forward defence location (FDL) post manned by them in the Krishna Ghati sector. Another BSF constable was injured in the attack.

“At about 0830 hours, there was heavy firing from Pakistani (army) posts at BSF posts at LoC in Krishnagati sector of Poonch district with rockets and automatic weapons”, a senior BSF officer told PTI.

Troops guarding the borderline retaliated effectively, the officer said.

Today’s tragic incident comes amid indications that terrorists are waiting at launchpads in PoK to cross across into the Indian side.

Pakistani troops had violated the ceasefire in the same area on April 19 by resorting to mortar shelling and firing on Indian posts along the LoC.

On April 8, Pakistani troops violated the ceasefire along the LoC in Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir by resorting to firing on forward posts.

On April 5, ceasefire violation took place along the LoC in Poonch district.

On April 4, Pakistani Army fired mortar shells on Indian Army posts along the LoC in Bhimbher Gali sector of Rajouri district.

On April 3, Pakistani troops had shelled mortar bombs on forward posts in Balakote sector of Rajouri district.

In the second ceasefire violation on April 3, Pakistani troops had shelled Indian posts along the LoC in Digwar area in Poonch sector.
