Delhi: 21-year-old motorcyclist gets stuck in wires between police barricades, killed.NewDelhi: A 21-year-old motorcyclist died after his neck was stuck in a wire tied between two barricades in Delhi. The barricades were placed by police on the road near Netaji Subhash Place.

“There were two barricades which were tied to each other by a wire. There was no light when he was coming towards the barricades and the wire hit him,” Sunil, a relative of the victim said.

“He succumbed to his injuries a little while after being hit. There was no police officer here and it was the locals who tried to help him. There should have been a PCR van over here. Fifteen minutes before this incident, another man was also hit by the wire and he got a scar from the wire,” the relative added.

The victim’s mother has called for stringent action against those responsible for the act.

The victim had recently completed his graduation and was preparing for competitive exams. His father is a driver at Ola Cab. He lived with his family in Shakurpur JJ colony.

A case has been registered after which 4 constables and division officers were suspended. Confirming the incident, police said that there is a cut around his neck but added that the cause of death will only be known after the autopsy.
