MSDhoni retires: super star Mahesh Babu to Mohanlal, South celebs thanks him for fond memoriesChennai:  Former Indian cricket captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni on Saturday evening announced his retirement from international cricket much to the shock of everyone. South film industry celebrities such as Mahesh Babu, Mohanlal, Kamal Haasan ,Rana Daggubati and Madhavan and many more celebrities took to social media to recall fond memories associated with MS Dhoni and thanked him for entertaining them with his cricket. Many film personalities wrote how MS Dhoni made them feel when he bats.
 
Mahesh Babu shared a photo of MS Dhoni playing the winning shot in World Cup 2011 and wrote that cricket will never be the same. He captioned the photo, “How can I ever forget the iconic sixer!! World cup champions 2011 India!! Was in the stands at Wankhede, proud and tears rolling down… Cricket will never be the same… Take a bow @msdhoni “
 
Malayalam superstar Mohanlal bid farewell to Mahendra Singh Dhoni by sharing a photo of him. He wrote, “Farewell Captain @msdhoni, Best wishes to all your future endeavours #MSDhoni #Dhoni .”
 
Kamal Haasan took to Twitter to bid adieu to Mahendra Singh Dhoni. He wrote, “Dear @msdhoni Thank you for demonstrating how self-belief can help achieve in sports and life. Rising from a small town to being the hero of the nation, your calculated risks and calm demeanour will be missed by Team India. Glad that your love story with Chennai continues .”
 
Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Edapadi K Palaniswami tweeted, “#MSDhoni’s name will be etched in history for leading the Indian cricket team in 331 international matches and for being the only #captaincool to win 3 championships for the nation. His laurel and fame will be cherished by every Indian .”
 
Filmmaker SS Rajamouli, who recently recovered from the coronavirus, took to Twitter to bid adieu to Captain Cool. He wrote, “You entertained us! You made us proud! More than that, by staying calm in nerve racking moments, you inspired us! This is a moment that is very hard to take… You will be a torchbearer for generations to come… @msdhoni Sir, Thank You.
