New Delhi: Akhil Bharatiya Vidhyarti Parishad (ABVP) had registered its victory on all four seats of Delhi University Student Union (DUSU) polls on Saturday. ABVP is affiliated with Bharatiya Janata Party and Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley, Delhi BJP president Satish Upadhyay, BJP leader Vijay Goel are among the many national and state-level politicians who began their political career at DUSU.
Mohit Nagar won the president post, Pravesh Malik – vice president, Ameet Sidhu – secretary and Ashutosh Mathur – joint secretary.
Over one lakh students were eligible to cast vote in the DUSU polls for the four crucial posts — President, Vice President, Secretary and Joint Secretary.
It had also showed the mood and trust of youth of Delhi toward saffron party.
DUSU is the representative body of the students from most colleges and faculties of the varsity.
