Price hike again on petrol & diesel

PetrolNew Delhi: Petroleum ministry had released a statement, “The government has now decided to revise the dealer’s commission on diesel from Rs.1, 089 per kilolitre (or 1.089 per litre) to Rs.1, 186 per kilolitre for the entire country with immediate effect.”

It is said the revision was delayed as the model code of conduct was in force on account of the assembly elections in five states.

As the price revived, Diesel will sell in Delhi at the cost Rs. 53.77 which was earlier sold at the price of Rs. 53.67 per litre in Delhi. It is notify that second time the price of diesel is revised. Government had already revised the price of diesel on 1 December which increases the price by 57 paisa.

The current price of petrol in Delhi is Rs. 71.02 per litre and after the increasement, price of petrol pre litre will be Rs. 71.50.

The statement said, “Public sector oil marketing companies were requested by the ministry to rework the quantum of dealer’s commission on diesel (as due) keeping in mind escalations that may have occurred in the meantime. The industry worked out the same and submitted its recommendations to the ministry.”
