T20: India looks to seal semi-final spot as they take on Bangladesh today

T20: India looks to seal semi-final spot as they take on Bangladesh todayMirpur: This will be the only second T20 game between India and Bangladesh.  The Asian neighbors India and Bangladesh will face eachother today at Mirpur’s Shere Bangla Stadium. India has won both their games in ICC World T20 while Bangladesh is yet to secure a point in the Super 10.

These two teams last contested in a T20 match in 2009 at Nottingham where India beat Bangladesh by 25 runs.

If India maintains their form, the result of this game won’t be too different either. Indian bowlers, especially the spinners have bowled well in the first two games. Bhuvneshwar Kumar too had a good outing against West Indies. Indian batting looks secured as well. Rohit Sharma has hit a half-century in India’s last game and Kohli and Raina are enjoying a healthy batting form.

India’s only concern will be the struggle Yuvraj Singh is going through. Not only he dropped catches against Pakistan and West Indies, he looked uncomfortable in the middle during his stay at the wicket as well.

For Bangladesh, the bowlers did a decent job against West Indies. But their batting has been a major concern. Mushfiqur Rahim must be hoping that his batsmen come well against India. If India beat Bangladesh in this game, they will secure their place in the semi-final. Bangladesh, alternatively can’t hope for such a feat. But yet, they must be willing to spoil India’s party.
