UP Police arrested Two suspected terrorists in GorakhpurLucknow: Uttar Pradesh police officials said on Thursday that two suspected terrorists had been arrested near railway station of Gorakhpur city of Uttar Pradesh late on Wednesday.

These two suspected terrorists were on the module to target senior political leaders which includes the PM candidate of BJP Narendra Modi during the campaign program of upcoming Lok Sabha elections.

These suspects are identified as Barkat and Muzammil and said to be the native of Multan of Pakistan. These two suspects were taken to the Lucknow headquarters of the Anti-Terror Squad for interrogation.

While refusing to comment on specific leads in the case confirmed, officials said that the two were “directed” to target prominent leaders as “human bombs” during election rallies.

Official said, “We were given some leads by the Crime Branch of the Delhi Police after the arrest of Indian Mujahideen terrorist Tehsin Akhtar, and the arrests in Gorakhpur are a fall out of this tip off.”
