Interestingly during his high voltage elelction campaign, Modi in an interview to a Gujarati TV news channel had hinted at hot pursuit against Dawood. With the BJP strongman now coming to power, the intelligence unit feels that Modi would go behind the underowrld don, who is considered to be the mastermind of 1993 Mumbai blasts.
The report says that Dawood is apprehensive of Modi’s intention and feras a commando style operation, similar to the US raid in Abbottabad, which killed al Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden. Fearing this, the underworld don has changed his base and asked the Pakistan’s ISI to enhance his security.

Not only Dawood, but his men in Mumbai have also fled the financial capital, known to be the hub of underworld in India.  Former director of Intelligence Bureau Ajit Doval on Monday met PM-elect Modi and gave him a brief on security challenges facing the country.  Modi is expected to seek help of 69-year-old Doval, who gave an insight to the BJP leader Modi about the threats that exist within and from outside the country.
