Jammu: The normal life of Jammu had been affected by partial shutdown over the clashes in Baltal base camp of the Amarnath Yarta on Friday.
Government offices, banks and post offices had functioned normally while shops remained closed in Jammu city and public transport plied only partially while private transport.
The shutdown and protest against the clashes in Baltal base camp had been called by Bharatiya Janata Party and the Vishva Hindu Parishad.
Police officials said, “The shutdown call has evoked partial response in the city, otherwise life is going on in a normal way.”
